Not really... what with the search functions in most modern operating systems, you can find things pretty easily whether they&#039;re filed or not.

I&#039;m not saying &lt;b&gt;not&lt;/b&gt; to file your computer data, but it&#039;s less of a necessity to keep things neatly organized.

However, I&#039;m still really underdeveloped in the general reference filing for physical documents. At work I have some stacked file folders but no cabinet, and at home I have a cabinet that I haven&#039;t gotten around to putting anything into yet...</description>

I think that for some, it just comes naturally - the understanding that you need to have a filing system in place. 

The same is true for stuff that is saved on one&#039;s computer, by the way.</description>
