		<description>In most cases, the anxiety I&#039;m referring to deals with a known issue: transgressing our current sphere of comfort. I believe that authentic change always carries an emotional charge, which acts as a barometer to a next action&#039;s impact. In this context, I don&#039;t equate anxiety with neurosis, or something to be &quot;fixed.&quot; It&#039;s simply situational feedback.

In cases where the anxiety is unclear, I usually implement a phenomenological technique called Experiential Focusing (typically just called Focusing -- see &lt;i&gt;Focusing&lt;/i&gt; by Eugene Gendlin), which involves dwelling with one&#039;s felt sense of a situation until its intricacy moves to articulate itself as a concrete word, phrase or image.</description>

		<description>I agree that dealing with stuff that makes us anxious gives us more energy. This is actually a very good reason to try and get through these tasks :)

However I think it is also important to look at how and why these tasks make us anxious. By understanding the underlying issue we grow and actually obtain even more energy than if we had just blindly pushed past it.</description>
